The Frying Pan Story

Wanna hear an odd story about fishing?
Imagine this ….
Kevin was fishing one Saturday morning, when he noticed an older man who was
also fishing from the same river bank not far from him.
He saw that when the older fellow caught a fish, he’d measure it against a broken off ruler and if it was bigger than the piece of ruler, he would throw it back in the river.
Curious about this, he approached the man and asked him why he was tossing the larger fish back in the water. Was it because of spawning season or some bylaw?
The old man explained that he measured each fish against the broken off ruler because that was the exact size of his frying pan. So, any that were too big got thrown back.
The moral of this story?
Think about it for a minute ….
The answer might surprise you…
The takeaway from this story is that the stream of life tosses us a BIG DREAM and we measure it by the size of the "frying pan" we've got.
We say …
"It's not going to fit in this pocket"…
"I don't have the money"…
"I don't have the education." …
"Now is not a convenient time."
Then we let our circumstances limit our dreams.
And we discard our precious dreams and visions.
And then we say to ourselves, "maybe later will be better for my dream" ….
But know that I believe in YOU and that you’re far more powerful than any circumstance, condition, or situation.
And I believe that you CAN achieve your dreams, be successful and live the life you
LOVE!
